The GFWC Woman's Club of Sarasota will be sponsoring a Day of Service for Domestic Violence. There will be a speaker from SPARCC. Donations of Woman's under clothing, pajamas, and nightgowns ( knee length or longer) and personal and hygiene produc are welcome. Disposable diapers in sizes 4 5 and 6 and wipes for babies are needed.

Community Service Programs

Engage in activities that improve our Sarasota community. Arts and Culture Environment Civic Engagement and Oureach Health and Wellness Education and Libraries Domestic Violence The Club supports projects in the community that work to end hunger. We have provided philanthropic gifts to All Faiths Food Bank as well as collecting food at our meetings and volunteering at the food bank.Pictured are Carol Fink, Linda Ruppert, Jane Hussar and Diana Freidinger

Educational Support Programs

Assist children and adults in their journey to academic success by volunteering in our educational initiatives. Our 2025 Scholarship Recipient attended our June Club meeting, She spoke about her plans for the future and was thankful for her $1,000 gift.

Community Volunteer Program

A-GFWC-Sarasota Club offers structured volunteering initiatives aimed at enhancing our local community by fostering collaboration. Resurrection House Coordinator Scott Habek appreciates the clothing and toiletries valued at$1,500. Health and Wellness Chair Carol Fink coordinated the efforts to support the day resource center for the homeless in Sarasota County

Day of Service

The International Day of Service of GFWC will be held on September 30, 2025 at 12:30 pm It will be held at the Fruitville Library , with a speaker from SPARCC Donations of Woman's T-shirts, cotton pants , socks, underwear, pajamas and nightgowns ( knee length or longer) Other items include personal and hygiene items, such as shampoo woman's shaving cream, travel size manicure kits and hair accessories. Diapers sizes 4 , 5 and 6 and baby wipes, children's hair accessories, and crib sheets.
